This year, we are organising the Street Music Festival for the fourth time between August 9-11. With a new team and new energy, this year’s event will be a refreshing splash of colour and a recomposed symphony of the city.

Street Music Festival is for everyone. We want to organise an event in the city to build bridges between generations, create linguistic diversity and allow space for different genres to meet.

In the process of putting together the programme, we think it is important to bring to Târgu Mureș people who will offer a new perspective to the residents and the public. In addition, we want people of all ages to find the programme that suits them best. 

Local and international performers will entertain on the small and main stage, while street artists will entertain in the Theatre Square. In the surrounding streets and squares, there will be a wine yard, children’s and family activities, interactive discussions and plenty of options for nightlife.

Our festival stands out because artists will perform among us, young and old art lovers, as well. They bring contemporary, modern art closer to the people, making it tangible for us.

Between August 9 and 11, we’ll breathe life into the city centre, colouring and invigorating it. Our aim is to put Târgu Mureș on the map of music and cultural festivals not only in Mureş County, but also in Transylvania, Romania and – why not – Europe, because culture is worth investing time, energy and resources in. The event adds value to both the local community and visitors from afar, which in the long run will benefit both the city and the county.
